Yamahas RD125LC was the bike to have for the most mid 1980’s 17 year olds. Our UK bikes were restricted to 12BHP. The rest of the world got full YPVS on the mark two version – Giving 22+ BHP. Our mark two kept the mark one engine, Later mark three UK bikes got the YPVS barrel, but blocked off. Pick of the bunch is the 1GU specification bike.

Full YPVS – Giving 22BHP & torque to match. This gives a proper bike feel to the nimble chassis & was bought in other markets as a nippy commuter bike, not restricted learner, The RD125LC is a well-proportioned & stylish ‘80’s icon. We love them!
