Kawasaki’s ’89 ZXR was one of the first ‘modern’ superbikes. Very fast, powerful & raw, its crown soon went to the all-conquering Honda CBR900 Fireblade. Today, values are on the increase & particularly the first ‘H1’ models are becoming sort after collector bikes. For modern road use, a high quality rear shock is a must.

The original will be well past its best & were poor even when new. Forks respond well to modern bushes & heavier oil. The ZXR is one of the most affordable routes to the ‘80s modern classic ownership. The green & white colours look fantastic & suit the aggressive styling. Definitely one to watch.
